Synopsis
We start exploring Sumatra from its capital: Medan, before we head to Bukit Lawang and the Gunung Leuser National Park. We continue to the cold Berastagi, from where we can contemplate the volcano circle that forms the Toba Lake, the biggest flooded crater in the world. We learn about the Batak’s way of life in Samosir, the island in the center of the lake.
