Synopsis

In this programme, we marvel at one of the most outstanding natural monuments in Spain, the Playa de las Catedrales, a set of arches, caves and islets resulting from the erosion of the Cantabrian Sea. The Jerte Valley, famous every spring for its cherry blossom, which attracts thousands of tourists, and also has one of the 10 best natural swimming pools for bathing, according to National Geographic magazine.

The Aiguëstortes National Park, a unique protected natural area in southern Europe, with its impressive high mountain relief. And Garajonay, on the Canary Island of La Gomera, an ancient evergreen forest, a survivor of the ancient forests that populated the European continent during the Tertiary period.
