Synopsis

During this episode, we visit the eastern coast of Asturias, a part of the coastline full of beautiful and surprising geological formations: inland beaches, buffoons and caves. Souto da Retorta, the oldest eucalyptus forest in Europe, giants over 50 metres high.

The Gruta de las Maravillas, the first tourist cave in Spain and one of the most spectacular. The Hoces del Duratón, in Segovia, where a river meanders between ravines in which the largest colony of griffon vultures in Europe proliferates, with more than 700 pairs.

The Badernas Reales, an unusual desert a few kilometres from the Pyrenees. And the Sacred Mountains of Gran Canaria, an ancient volcanic caldera dominated by the roque Nublo, a gigantic rock monolith venerated by the island's ancient aborigines.
