Coiba. The Wild Treasure Island

Coiba is a modern-day Noah’s Ark, a refuge for monkeys, crocodiles, sharks and countless other unique creatures. The vastness of the ocean, the dazzling colours of the coral reefs, the mysterious mangroves, the impenetrable rainforests and the pristine beaches all come together on the largest island in Panama and in the whole of Central America.

For centuries, these islands were shrouded in legends of pirates and outlaws. Their fearsome reputation kept people away, allowing nature to remain virtually untouched. Today, Coiba is a national park. It is one of the most extraordinary and least-known natural sanctuaries in the Pacific: a wild realm where nature still reigns supreme.
