Synopsis

In this programme, we visit the Teide National Park in the Canary Islands, one of the most spectacular manifestations of volcanism on the planet. We explore a granite landscape that is home to the largest colony of rock-nesting white storks in Europe.

In the north of Spain, we visit one of the largest forests, the Irati Forest, and on the coast of Galicia, the largest cliffs on the old continent. The unique Wall of Finestres, with its double vertical stone wall reminiscent of the Great Wall of China. And in Catalonia, the Cardona mine, a great mountain of pure salt, unique in the world.
