Synopsis

Dazzling Dancers and Dragons’ Grandchildren

In the hidden corners of the Iberian Peninsula, tiny creatures display astonishing talents to survive and reproduce. From the hypnotic dance of jumping spiders and the vibrant courtship of the Iberian newt, to the camouflaged traps of crab spiders and the lethal ambushes of scorpions, each encounter tells a story of ingenuity and risk.

As night falls, even more secrets are revealed: toxic moths, stick insects that remain disguised even in love, and ants that practised farming long before humans. Underground, cicada nymphs emerge to transform into winged creatures, while in ephemeral ponds, fairy shrimp and caddisfly larvae showcase remarkable strategies of resilience.

The journey extends to unique territories, such as the Canary Islands, home to snails with hidden shells, and Andalusia, where tireless monarch butterflies arrive after an oceanic voyage. In the humid forests of the northwest, the mysterious long-tailed salamander, a descendant of ancient dragons, lays the future of its lineage deep in the darkness of caves.

A first episode that opens the gates to an invisible universe, where the miniature world proves just as epic as the giant one.
