Khadija, born in Amsterdam to Moroccan parents, has not returned to the small village of which they are native in 20 years. They used to go on holidays but personal circumstances have prevented them from returning there all the time. After this absence, she has returned to the village to confront her European values but especially to learn more about her paternal grandmother, Mamma Allal.
