Episode 3 - From the Sil Canyon to the Giants

This episode takes us to the Rio Tinto, the most acidic river on Earth, with strange red waters. Los Gigantes, in Tenerife, impressive 600-metre-high cliffs on the edge of the Atlantic. Then we are off to Galicia, the Sil canyon, a deep river gorge that was a retreat for medieval monks and is now home to the largest concentration of rural Romanesque architecture in Europe.

A landscape of great natural wealth with giant fossils and a particular "Mediterranean savannah", the Cabañeros National Park. And Las Médulas, an ancient Roman mine that has given rise to a unique landscape, where the red stone cliffs contrast with the greenery of its lush vegetation.
