The Andean Altiplano is a vast plateau of extreme landscapes, located thousands of metres above sea level and shaped by drought, cold and dramatic temperature changes. In Tiwanaku, the remains of one of the great pre-Columbian civilisations stand alongside ancestral rituals devoted to Pachamama. In communities such as Kasa Chuta, the Aymara people maintain their agricultural and livestock traditions while finding new opportunities through handicrafts and cooperation projects. The journey reaches Lake Titicaca, whose waters are home to remarkable birdlife, including several species of flamingo and birds endemic to the Andes. Through the eyes of its inhabitants, the documentary portrays a sacred land striving to preserve its heritage, traditions and fragile natural balance.
