Synopsis

The Balearic Islands in Spain are one of the environments that Charles Darwin would have liked to explore. A group of isolated islands whose inhabitants evolved separately from the rest of the planet, the same way it happened on the Galapagos Islands. In the Balearic Islands, evolution also endowed plants and animals with shapes and behavior that are unique in the world. Each island has its own distinct fauna, botanical and environmental features. Today they still exhibit some of these differences and it is still possible to find authentic living relics of this extraordinary evolution.
