Synopsis

The documentary Kraus. The last Romantic offers a unique vision of the life of one of the most important tenors of the 20th century: Alfredo Kraus.

Thanks to a large number of unpublished images recorded by the tenor himself with his Super 8 camera, of which he was a fan, we will discover his most human and familiar side, far from that elitist image that the world of Opera gives off. This film allows us to put ourselves behind the lens of his camera and see life through his own eyes.

We will travel through different passages of his life, we will see his newborn children, family vacations and Christmas parties, among other endearing moments. Always with the presence of the mother of his children and the great love of his life: Rosa Ley Bird.

These exclusive graphic documents support the main argument of the project: as if it were one of his dramatic operas, the end of Alfredo Kraus' love story in real life transcended the stage and ended up turning him into one of those romantic heroes who so much He performed throughout his artistic life.
